## What Are Leads in CustomerOS?

In CustomerOS, **leads are companies** — not individuals.\
A lead is a company that:

* Has been matched against your **Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)**
* Shows intent or engagement signals across your channels
* Is exposed to you as a sales opportunity within your workspace

Behind the scenes, every lead is linked to a **central CustomerOS company object**. This means you benefit from our continuously updated **global research layer**, which is re-assessed and re-framed to your specific ICP so that every lead you see is hyper-relevant.
