Whenever something that needs to come to a users attention happens in CustomerOS, it will appear in the inbox. The inbox operates exactly like an email inbox, allowing for read/unread statuses of each notification, grouping depending on what generated the message and of course an editor to form responses.

First and foremost the inbox acts as a single place to view customer communications. Secondly it acts as your team’s assistant in getting to customer inbox zero as fast as possible, whether that is through suggested replies, automated AI responses or mass messages.

CustomerOS will generate a new inbox group for every time it detects a response to a new item.
